Term 4 saw the start of dance club at Balfour Junior School! Meg is the dance teacher and they’ve had a wonderful term doing Showstoppers! They use songs from musicals and dance to them. Think Glee club without the singing. Below Meg talks about what they’ve been up to and has also included a video of one of their rehearsals.

This term we have been exploring the world of Musical Theatre in Showstoppers! Each week we have delved into a new musical, for example Seussical, Annie and even Shrek. We start with a fun warm up and then onto our new musical for a fun dance with creative input from the students. We have finished each lesson this term by working on our routine to You Can’t Stop the Beat from Hairspray which has been great fun!
