To celebrate our 10th Birthday, in 2020, our website underwent a huge change and was updated to become what you see now. It was one of the few celebratory things that weren’t cancelled due to the pandemic. We hope you like it!

Since then, largely due to the fact we’ve been working really hard to recover from how the pandemic affected our work, we haven’t been writing blog posts. Sorry about that, but…

This is the first of many!

I’ve asked the dance teachers to tell me what they would like to write about and they gave me a lovely lot of ideas. Over the next few weeks and months we’ll be sharing those blog posts as well as some from the past with you. They will be inspiring, helpful and useful. We hope you enjoy reading them. If you have any ideas for posts you would like to read please let us know.

Although we’ve been providing remote and socially distanced dance lessons throughout most of the pandemic, we’ve only really been back to lessons properly for three months. It has been an absolutely wonderful three months though. We have returned to so many familiar places, and visited new ones, we’ve welcomed new team members and we’ve been reunited with dancers we’ve missed. People have been saying wonderful things about our lessons again and we’ve been able to take photos of some of our lessons again. It’s been fantastic.

Many of the photos, videos and testimonials will be shared in blog posts over the next few weeks, but here are a few to get started with!

Enjoy!

Our school were looking for a dance company to help us with us choregraph a whole school dance as part of our Arts week and The Right Step were the perfect choice for us. Throughout the process, they were extremely organised, professional and listened carefully to our ideas to help them generate the motifs for the dances. The children absolutely loved learning these dances, and the teachers careful planning and visual prompts helped all the children across the school easily pick up the moves. I would highly recommend this dance company. Lisa Renwick, Year 5 teacher. August 2021.
