MOPP and CVS Medway Tea Dance

Rebecca and Sophie W went to the tea dance again on Wednesday. It was so much fun with everyone joining in with some seated dance. We even had some help from two young ladies who had never done seated dance before. They took centre stage with us to make sure everyone could take part. Thank you to the mystery ladies! Once again, we're really looking forward to the next one!

Success!

We have been granted a FUSE Medway Festival commission to produce Changes in the Current, a community project based on The River Medway! Changes in the Current, a site specific performance that will be created by the local community. Four community groups of all ages will share their stories and memories of The River Medway in movement exploration workshops led by local choreographers (and TRS teachers), Alix Godden and Sophie Fuller. Workshop participants that would like the opportunity to perform are welcome to unite through dance and summarise everyone's 'River Stories' by performing at the river site. These members of the Medway community and local dancer, Sophie Williams, will perform Changes in the Current near The River Medway’s Esplanade. They will be supported by music composed by local musician, Dan Potter, photographs and the written word. The performance will be enjoyed by the public as they walk along the river and will raise the profile of the River Medway. Changes in the Current will take you on an exciting journey looking back at memories and workforces that where once conspicuous on the river Medway.

Updates Galore! New Executive Summary, updated policies and, the best bit, plenty more photos in the gallery.

But now I'm all loosened up and my stiffness has gone. In fact, I'm raring to go. I only wish I could go to this exercise class every day. It would make a new women out of me.'

A very relaxed participant, N. Assegard at Strood Age Concern, June 2011

'A super 40 minute class packed with story, music and dance. I never imagined I would see my 3 year old granddaughter dancing Sleeping Beauty. Gentle, kind and thoughtful praise enhanced the whole experience for the children. Rebecca has a lovely touch with the children. Thank you.'
